Job Description

The Director of Client Engagement will serve as a leader within the Food & Beverage region and company, reporting to the Vice President, Food + Beverage.  The role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance client satisfaction, drive revenue growth, lead account management efforts, and strengthen long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of client needs. The Director of Client Engagement will demonstrate a deep understanding of the AEC Food & Beverage industry and will display high levels of energy and drive and will possess a high level of personal and business integrity, strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. 

This individual will assist the Vice President, Food + Beverage to grow the region’s business in the Food and Beverage market. This position will provide a leadership role in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for account management, building new client relationships as well as representing the company at industry events.

The Director of Client Engagement will engage with the Senior Director of Business Development, Sub-Market Leaders and the Vice President, Food + Beverage in building awareness for CRB’s services through presentations, proposal interviews, trade shows and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute annual account management plans for key & core accounts
  • Support the development and implementation of sub-market plans.
  • Maintain and drive a zippered relationship strategy within that local client base is required to ensure CRB is wired and well positioned as a strategic supplier to that client
  • Hold colleagues accountable for annual account plan goals and objectives.
  • Represent the client’s perspective throughout project execution.
  • Provide input on “the right team” to execute client's projects.
  • Coach and mentor internal team members on presentations and client presence
  • Represent CRB as a SME in client presentations and throughout the project life cycle.
  • Provides peer reviews of designs around areas of expertise.
  • Present CRB’s value proposition in presentations and conversations with potential clients.
  • Attend annual trade shows
  • Represent the company on industry boards and trade associations committee’s
  • Assist in the writing and developing the winning strategy for client proposals
  • Assisting pursuit teams on exploring the “win-win” commercial strategies
  • Assist in the authorship of the region’s business plan.
  • Recruit and attract top industry talent to CRB. 
  • Participates in the preparation of principal meetings and attendance of principal meetings on managed accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, or 7+ years of equivalent AEC industry experience
  • Track record of building relationships with stakeholders in the Food + Beverage industry
  • Proven experience in a client engagement or account management leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the Food + Beverage industry and market trends
  • Readily adapts and remains positive in the face of change, ambiguity and pressure
  • Understanding of market pricing for services.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement and construction delivery methodologies: Design-Bid-Build, Design-CM, Design/Build, and Design-Assist projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Proven track record of building relationships (internal and external) resulting in high client satisfaction
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing account teams
  • Ability to gain trust by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and accountability.
  • Hands on experience in developing / reviewing proposals, developing “win” strategies, including commercial terms
  • Must be a motivated and dedicated self-starter.
  • Extensive Travel up to 50%+
