Job Description

The Architectural Designer III performs their job functions under the supervision of a project’s Architect-of-Record, but have increasing areas of autonomy in their daily work. These include assisting 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, and producing discipline deliverables such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, interior and exterior elevations and sections, schedules, and installation details in conformance with CRB’s VDC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with client and external partners
  • Plan work from an architectural design perspective
  • Work on a variety of architectural assignments supporting all phases of design including initial programming, planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Produce mostly complete deliverables (with oversight), and delegate work effectively to junior staff

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • NAAB-accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch., M. Arch, and/or D. Arch) preferred (alternatively, a CACB-certified Architectural Degree or an NCARB-approved EESA evaluation of foreign education)
  • Applicable Associate Degree or Technical Trade School Certification accepted
  • Recommended minimum of three years of experience required

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite required, experience in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Enscape preferred
  • LEED WELL, or other sustainable design certification preferred
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and/or experience with advanced technology industry projects such as R&D labs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food & nutrition and/or consumer products is preferred
  • Experience with developing and implementing architectural designs in the built work environment required
  • Solid working knowledge of the International Building Code, technical and design aspects of CRB’s market areas, and will be expected to work closely with architectural, designing, and construction staff members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently
