The Cost Control Analyst will have a thorough understanding of preparing project labor and expense plans and forecasting within existing accounting and project management systems. Also responsible for processing project billings and assisting in client billings, while providing a thorough review of overall financials on assigned projects. The Cost Analyst must possess a thorough understanding of cost control policy, including internal processes and procedures and takes a risk -based approach to cost control. The Cost Control Analyst should routinely converse with the cost control team as well as the Project Director/Manager and field staff while conveying and reinforcing these processes and procedures.

  • Lead project cost management set-up, ensuring proper development in accordance with the client-specific and internal requirements including considerations for contract type, work breakdown structure, approval workflows, and historical tracking for reconciliation to project estimate
  • Create and assist the project team with regular forecasts, tracking and reports to monitor the project from the beginning until close-out including reconciliation of actuals to plan, project budget, commitments and spend as well as the consideration of changes
  • Coordinate with procurement and/or project management in the development and review of subcontracts and purchase order
  • as well as manage and ensure alignment in subcontractor invoicing and assist in accounts payable inquiries / issues
  • Supporting the definition and continuous improvements of tools and procedures for project cost control and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • This position is truly opened to entry level candidates with a 
  • Excellent written, listening and communication skills in German (fluent) and English (B2)
  • Knowledge of general accounting standards and labor and cost planning and forecasting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software, Microsoft Dynamics software is a plus
  • Enjoy working within a team-oriented environment with cross-functional and remote teams
  • Ability to represent CRB in client conversations and partner in solving issues
  • Able to multi-task with attention to multiple priorities simultaneously in combination with being comfortable working to established deadlines
  • Valid work permit for Germany or able to obtain a permit
