Job Description

CRB is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, pro-active, organized, and innovative Project Engineer Operation Improvements & Simulations to join our Consulting Services team.  The successful candidate must possess the skills required to successfully handle multiple simultaneous complex tasks, have a strong work ethic, drive to deliver for customers, and be a collaborative team player. This person will work closely with senior-level staff to meet client needs, identify new clients and maintain client relationships. This person will be expected to execute work on one or more projects simultaneously, help win projects and support the development of proposals as delegated by the Project Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Help grow consulting services in the local regions by presenting in client meetings and industry settings/conferences, and developing marketing material
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships and working on proposals
  • Building simulation or mathematical models, including discrete event simulations, continuous simulations and spreadsheet modeling
  • Lead / work on projects involving lean six sigma tools and techniques
  • Manage discipline-specific projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Economics/Management, or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience (minimum)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industrial process projects is preferred
  • Experience with Excel-based macros (VBA) and simulation tools required (Discrete Event Simulations)
  • Coding experience with a formal programming language is required, e.g., R, Python, C++, SAS
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma; Green Belt certification is preferred
  • Ability to think analytically and outside the box
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and computer skills are required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required for client development and project execution (mostly DACH region)
  • Languages: Fluent in German (C1+), ability to communicate in English (B2+), French (B2+) is a plus
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland/Germany or able to obtain a permit
