Job Description

With the growth of the organization, CRB are opening a new office in Bridgewater Township, NJ. This role will serve as the leader of the office from an engineering design perspective and will have responsibility for a team of 5-7 people. The leader will oversee and collectively lead a team of design professionals with support by individual Group Leads. The Office Design Leader will coordinate closely with their leadership counterparts within the office to form a high-performing leadership team for the office.

  • Provide inspirational leadership for the design staff in a single office.
  • Develop project approaches to match the delivery method for the project while maintaining quality and integrity of the design deliverables and role of the Professional of Record.
  • Assist in the development of annual business planning efforts to meet CRB’s strategic vision and annual goals. This will include the development of an annual business plan for the operations under direction of the Regional Leader. 
  • Recruit and attract top industry talent to CRB. 
  • Develop and coach employees to meet their career aspirations and goals and to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Promote a strong quality culture.  Push team to achieve and maintain world class talent and operations. 
  • Support the development and growth of the office using common goals, objectives, procedures, culture, and policies as those of other CRB offices. 
  • Support development of KPIs on a recurring basis and provide input and support as needed. 
  • Serve as client point of contact for new and existing clients by participating in business development and networking activities, maintaining personal client relationships.
  • Develop win and project delivery strategies for key pursuits and ensure an integrated approach is consistently applied to each project whenever possible.
  • Function as a key member of the Office Leadership Team, optimizing the performance of design execution teams while furthering an office’s advancement toward a more integrated, ONEsolution model Team champion of good project execution by providing oversite of compliance with Documentation Standards and Quality Program compliance and high standard of deliverables.  Monitor and assist on high-risk projects.
  • Work intimately with design counterparts to achieve productive working relationships resulting in successful outcomes for all participants.
  • Support the project managers so that our projects are adequately staffed with qualified staff and projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives, and design and construction guidelines.
  • Manage program of projects and project managers within an office to ensure successful completion and coordination of all efforts.
  • Work with project managers to prepare proposals and labor fee estimates.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or Architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in Design Industry
  • 5+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry including but not limited to Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Cell and Gene Therapy, and Science & Technology 
  • Ability to gain trust by demonstrating honesty, integrity and dependability.
  • Experience in developing design documents and managing design projects in a variety of delivery methodologies: Design-Bid-Build, Design-CM, Design/Build, and Design-Assist projects
  • Experience with Business Development and client relations
  • Experience in developing proposals and “win” strategies
  • Good understanding of procurement and construction processes on large projects
