Job Description
CRB is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, pro-active, organized, and innovative Industrial Engineer to join our Consulting Services team.
The successful candidate must possess the skills required to successfully handle multiple simultaneous complex tasks, execute project tasks, have a strong work ethic and drive to deliver for customers, and be a collaborative team player.
This person will work closely with senior-level industrial engineering staff to meet client needs and will be expected to execute work on one or more projects simultaneously as delegated by the Project Leads.
Responsibilities
- Simulation and mathematical modeling including discrete event simulations (DES) and spreadsheet modeling
- Data analytics and modeling
- Schedule and production planning
- Coding and programming (Python/VB) preferred
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally up to 2 years of experience, combined with some experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industrial process projects
- Working knowledge of Excel-based macros and simulation tools (experience or familiarity with Discrete Event and Process Simulation software)
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
- Ability to think analytically and outside the box, combined with excellent communication
- Coding experience (or familiarity with a formal programming language) as well as experience in data modeling with knowledge of SAS, SPSS or similar tools are preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% as required for client development and project execution (mostly within the DACH region)
- Languages: English required, German and French preferred
- Valid work permit for Switzerland or able to obtain a permit
