Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Credit Portfolio Manager/Researcher with a specialization in non-Financial corporate sectors for our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the portfolio management of the group’s high grade and high yield portfolio across sectors conducting corporate credit research, evaluating trading opportunities in Developed Markets through relative-value frameworks, and sourcing new opportunities with a mindset to generate alpha in group’s tradable credit holdings which encompass corporate bonds, credit ETFs, structured finance, and credit derivatives.

Our Public Credit group is focused on the development and management of scalable alpha strategies, offering the candidate an unparalleled opportunity for learning and growth. The role includes managing the entire lifecycle of an investment, with a direct path to trading and portfolio management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth credit research within specific non-Financial corporate credit sectors
  • Identifying and researching new alpha-generating investment opportunities in the North American High Grade and High Yield Bond Market
  • Trade and monitor the public credit portfolio, ensuring adherence to our investment strategies our strategic objectives
  • Generate and analyze portfolio metrics, risk, and performance analytics
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize portfolio performance and risk management

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate credit trading, research and/or credit portfolio management specifically in non-Financials
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a similar role conducting research or providing analysis in the implementation and monitoring of credit relative value strategies, or in the portfolio management of credit securities  
  • Demonstrated good judgement, professionalism and integrity
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of public credit strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
