Job Description

The Senior Test and Verification Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans, carrying out tests, and documenting software and hardware engineering projects related to data acquisition in automotive engine, transmission, and vehicle control systems in the OE and aftermarket sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional verification testing of hardware and software products, including embedded vehicle data acquisition software and hardware, and web-based engineering applications.
  • Develop and document detailed functional test plans, DVP&R plans, etc.
  • Track results of testing and generate result reports.
  • Implement and reinforce best practices and processes for test documentation, project management and reporting.
  • Manage work backlog and assign tasks to available team resources.
  • Meet timing commitments for verification testing and reporting to support overall product delivery timing.
  • Become proficient in the use of all Control-Tec software/hardware products and features.
  • Provide documentation on new features and/or provide training to Control-Tec employees or customers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least two years of experience designing and conducting verification tests in automotive embedded software and/or web applications.
  • Automotive industry experience, especially with vehicle communication (e.g. CAN), is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate tasks and schedule work to meet organizational timing goals.
