Job Description

CONTROLTEC® seeks an organized, detailed-oriented Operations Analyst with a “can-do" attitude. This position will be responsible for managing the team fulling orders to our Domestic and International customers and coordination of equipment procurement and managing open repairs with vendors. In addition, this person will be responsible for managing and maintaining all inventory levels. This will require the Operations Analyst to develop processes, audit records, and analyze data to determine the root cause of inventory issues.

  • Manage inventory tracking and audit that equipment is assigned to the correct customer and purchase order
  • Recommend and implement inventory control policies and processes. Write procedures, and train personnel on inventory practices to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Review inventory reports, research inventory variances, determine causes for variances in materials or equipment versions, gather supporting information and update inventory management systems with corrections. Recommend and implement methods and procedures to avoid future discrepancies.
  • Responsible for resolving import and export complications and updating processes based on lessons learned
  • Perform month-end inventory activities such as equipment audits, data entry, reconciliation, forecasting and report preparation. Review reports and supporting documentation for shortages & discrepancies; researches and determines root cause and presents findings to management.
  • Coordinate and perform activities to reconcile and maintain equipment records, including conducting cycle counts to verify item quantities, reviewing and verifying material transactions entered into the equipment management system, and inputting or uploading transaction data to update the inventory management system. Investigate errors, determine root cause for discrepancies, implement methods to prevent future issues, recommend and obtain approval for adjustments, and make corrections in the system.
  • Work with internal teams to understand hardware requirements and vendors to ensure adequate inventory based on requirements and lead-time, including issuing PO’s for vendor supplied equipment.
  • Manage vendor activity for equipment update, retrofit and repair. Including issuing RMA’s, prioritizing vendor activity based on internal team requirements and associated documentation for accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to develop & implement processes and procedures for shipping & receiving, equipment tracking, repair, updating and disposition.
  • Point person for communication of system changes for users as well as improvements in equipment tracking process.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships and able to work autonomously or with a team.
  • Work with user members and IT to implement and/or resolve system tracking issues.
  • Understanding of purchasing, inventory, vendor repair and equipment software/hardware operational processes.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel or other database tracking programs.
  • Spreadsheet automation experience.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
