An opportunity currently exists in our Rossland office for a Senior Structural Technician. The ideal candidate will be required to have a good understanding of concrete and steel design and will concurrently work on a range of projects of complexity, construction value and at different stages in the procurement cycle.
You will draw on your proactive and analytical problem solving skills to deliver structural solutions working under supervision and supporting larger interdisciplinary teams.

Primary Responsibilities
- Use CAD software to produce preliminary and for construction deliverables with the engineering team
- Knowledge of 3-D modeling, especially REVIT, an asset
- Perform field measurements, in an industrial plant or outdoor sites
- Conduct structural inspections for industrial projects
- Design for concrete, steel, and other industrial structures
- Estimate and prepare engineering proposals
- Ensure projects are on task, on budget and on schedule
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Technician or Technologist Diploma.
- 8+ years of experience in an industrial structural design capacity
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are essential.
- The successful candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- A proven passion for your profession and employ results driven practices.
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
