Job Description
CIMA+’s Environment team is a dynamic one with a proven reputation and a determination to be part of the change to a greener world. By joining our team, you will also be part of that change.
Reporting to the senior director and project manager, the technician will be required to carry out or supervise site activities related to assigned projects in terms of geo-environmental engineering.
You will take part in carrying out and supervising project site activities in terms of site characterization and rehabilitation and environmental monitoring of work in collaboration with project managers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carry out sampling of various media (soil, residual material, water, air)
- Monitor site work: characterization campaign, environmental rehabilitation and management of contaminated soils
- Be the field manager for carrying out environmental drilling, exploratory trenches and manual surveys
- Carry out land surveys and monitor groundwater quality
- Collect data for historical research (Phase I)
- Prepare supplier purchase orders
- Carry out chemical analysis requests, write and prepare reports and data compilation tables under the supervision of the project manager
- Coordinate and verify the condition and inventory of field and warehouse equipment
Qualifications
- Diploma of college studies (DEC) in a field related to the environment
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in environmental site characterization (Phase I to III) and environmental rehabilitation
- Fluency in oral and written French
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel and outside stays
