Job Description

As a design engineer, you will be joining our Transportation Group and, more specifically, our road engineering team, which is made up of passionate people known for their expertise and synergy. You'll benefit from ongoing professional training and take part in large-scale multidisciplinary projects with major clients such as REM and the Ministère des Transports.

Our flexible hybrid working arrangement will enable you to balance your work and personal life. You'll have the freedom to work at one of our offices in the Metropolitan region or to work from home, or even 100% teleworking.

Main responsibilities

  • Act as technical leader in road engineering
  • Prepare specific technical studies, feasibility studies and preliminary designs for projects
  • Carrying out studies and drafting reports, technical opinions, plans and specifications, and documents relating to road design
  • Design road civil engineering projects (geometry, profile, pavement structure, earthworks and drainage)
  • Solve complex technical problems and come up with ingenious solutions by experimenting with new approaches and applying design criteria in innovative ways
  • Supervising the work of less experienced engineers and technicians on projects
  • Coordinating the design of road structures with the complementary disciplines involved in the project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent training
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in civil engineering 
  • Knowledge of transport, civil engineering, urban infrastructure or any other relevant field
  • Familiarity with the various stages of a project (study, PPA, DPA, etc.)
  • Ability to travel to worksites as required
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
