Job Description

 CIMA+ is looking for a creative landscape architect with strong technical skills to join its multidisciplinary engineering team, within the Earth&Environment Department. In collaboration with his team, the person will participate in the development of various projects from design to completion.

 We adopt an ecosystem approach from the planning and design phases, which results from the interaction and integration of planning, environmental and engineering disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design detailed thematic maps for environmental and planning studies.
  • Complete technical drawings for various landscape architecture projects in the public and private sectors, including parks, trails, streetscapes, and buildings.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and environmental teams to design landscape solutions that meet varied project needs and client expectations.
  • Process and analyze geospatial data as part of environmental impact studies.
  • Design and manage databases.
  • Write technical quotes for landscaping.
  • Perform occasional site supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
  • Registered member in good standing with the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec (AAPQ).
  • Strong knowledge of various stages from conception to implementation of public and private landscaping projects.
  • Excellent understanding of plants, materials, assembly principles, and construction techniques.
  • Demonstrated keen interest in phytotechnologies and working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing with AutoCAD, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with 3ds Max, Lumion, SketchUp (an asset).
  • Good understanding of laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines in landscaping.
  • Proficient in both French and English. Mastery of these two languages is essential for this role to draft documents in the required language and effectively communicate with all stakeholders involved.
