Job Description
Mission
CIMA+'s large infrastructure team is growing fast. This growth, combined with the awarding of major projects, has led the organization to recruit several people with multidisciplinary profiles. These people will work as part of a team of experts who stand out from the competition, and will be responsible for the design of multiple projects. To this end, as part of our partnerships with municipalities, we are recruiting an assistant project manager on an outsourcing basis for one of our customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Project start
- Read project documents (specifications, plans, schedules, etc.)
- Prepare kick-off meeting and take minutes
- Check shop drawings and data sheets
- Validate the overall project reference schedule
- Check temporary water supply plan (if required for project)
- Coordinate the verification of mixing formulas and material data sheets by the quality control laboratory
During construction
- Conduct site visits
- Participate in site meetings and draft minutes
- Answering the contractor's technical questions
- Analyze requests for equivalence
- Prepare and document change requests
- Validate the supervisor's cumulative reports and other measurement documents
- Analyze monthly payment requests submitted by the contractor
- Prepare payment recommendations
End of work
- Participate in the provisional acceptance visit and note any deficiencies observed
- Prepare interim inspection report
- Follow-up on the correction of deficiencies
- Check supervisor's and contractor's annotated plans
- Analyze and document contingency claims
- Validate final quantities payable on the bill of lading
- Analyze contractual lead times
- Prepare recommendation for payment of final statement
- Check video inspection report (CCTV)
- Coordinate geomatics verification of TQC plans
- Final acceptance
- Participate in the final acceptance visit and note any deficiencies observed
- Prepare final inspection report
- Follow-up on the correction of deficiencies
- Check video inspection report (CCTV)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent,
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership
- Experience in urban infrastructure
- Demonstrated teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and design quality
