We are looking for a talented and highly motivated HR Generalist to join our dynamic HR team in Houston.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing HR operations support to the HR Business Partners across the various business lines. You will be one of the key contacts for employees and a strong partner for the managers with US and Canada based employees. 

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations Support:

  • Advise managers, and employees on all employment topics: payroll, leave, absences, contracts.
  • Ensure compliance of contracts and policies with local regulations.
  • Support the updating and accuracy of all HR systems, which include Oracle and Workday
  • Provide pragmatic solutions with regards to employee relations and/or conflicts at work coordinating legal support where required.

HR Business Partner Support:

  • Support in the roll out of the specific HR Strategies for each Business Line
  • Support in the local implementation and facilitation of the group HR Cycles & processes:
    • Objectives Settings and Performance Management providing guidance for professional growth.
    • Mobility, Expatriations, and Immigration (including contracts, visa, relocation process, etc)
    • People Review and Talent Management to identify training needs and implement targeted development actions.
    • Talent Acquisition, Recruitment and Onboarding cycles: collaborating with managers to identify staffing needs and supporting recruitment processes including building relationships with universities, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Execution of the Salary Review cycle and Bonus distribution process
    • Employee Engagement analyzing internal survey results and feedback to drive improvements in HR programs
    • Coordinating Diversity & Inclusion initiatives related initiatives to increase employee awareness and engagement.
  • Participate in Ad Hoc projects to support Corporate, Regional or Local initiatives.

The role may require occasional travel to facilitate networking and relationship building with CGG stakeholders and HR team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, pre-law, sociology, psychology, or a related study area required. Graduate degree in a related study area is a plus.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience - HR generalist or Specialist experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday will be a plus
  • Data driven, with proven analytical skills, including evaluation and visualization to build improvement and corrective action plans supporting the business performance.
  • Outstanding service & Customer focus, to identify and understand the needs of the stakeholders, and provide prompt advice and support
  • Proactive, flexible and collaborative attitude  
  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Capacity to build a remote network working with global and culturally-diverse teams
  • Ability to demonstrate self-motivation, learn quickly and work autonomously.
  • Strong work ethics
