Job Description
This entry-level role is for physicists, mathematicians, geophysicists or engineers looking for a career where they can continue to develop their scientific skills and knowledge in a commercial environment where their work will have real-world impacts.
With CGG Imaging team, you will learn to use knowledge of seismic data processing, wavelet processing, and velocity modeling to generate accurate images of the Earth’s subsurface to help our clients get the most value from the data and make informed decisions to minimize exploration and development risk, promote energy transition.
You will learn to experiment with various mathematical and geophysical concepts using state-of-the-art geoscience technology and software and high-performance computing applications to deliver world-leading product and services.
Working as part of an Imaging team, you will learn to manage complex technical projects which includes providing data analysis and optimal quality control, identifying problems, defining innovative solutions and ensure that the step/project is performed on time as per project schedule.
As the nature of the job, you will also develop excellent communication and collaborations skills when working in an international team and with clients from all over the world.
Our Imaging team also works closely with our Research and Software Development staff to develop new techniques and tools and collaborate with them to publish journal paper and present in international conferences about emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Fresh graduates with master’s degree or PhD degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics or Engineering with 0-2 years of professional experience.
No prior knowledge of geophysics or geology is expected or required.
