Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance Team!

Reporting to the Regional Geoscience Senior Financial Controller, you'll play a critical role within our Eastern Hemisphere Finance Team, spanning across Europe and APAC. Reporting directly to the Regional Geoscience Senior Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for providing indispensable support to our Business Managers, delivering keen insights that enable them to maintain and grow our business's profitability.

Principal Accountabilities 

Controlling the financial reporting process in line wth group policy and financial calendar

  • Producing cost center management accounts, monitoring financial performance, reporting & explaining key variances and KPI’s.
  • Supporting management with the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, contributing to the broader 3 years business plan.

Other mission

  • Provide support to various projects (investment analysis, financing, audit)

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent, could suit a part qualified or newly qualified accountant.

Skills and Experiences: 

  • Financial background needed in accounting and controlling with good knowledge of accounting principles and reporting; 
  • 3-4 years of previous experience in a controlling role within a multicultural environment; 
  • Proficient with financial data analysis tools (MS Excel; data retrieve tools) and use of financial databases (Oracle Hyperion or other EssBase cubes)
  • Analytical mindset with the desire to understand what lies beyond the numbers.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Dynamic, open-minded team player with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • IFRS 16 knowledge desirable
