Job Description

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated HR Generalist to join our HR Team!

Working as part of the UK Human Resources Team, you will be responsible for providing HR operations support to the UK HR Business Partners & Business Managers across the various business lines. They will be one of the key contacts for employees and a strong partner for the managers with UK based employees.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Working in close collaboration with the HR Business Partners, Managers, and the People Development team to make sure the best expertise and service possible is provided
  • Being a competent partner for managers, providing confidential advice and guidance on the people aspects of their business challenges
  • Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any HR issues may arise
  • To be able to confidently advise and support managers on the application of CGG’s policies and procedures
  • Being one of the key contacts for employees for their requests related to their career, performance, development, and compensation – answering their questions related to CGG policies and processes;
  • Providing HR support to managers and employees with various employment relation matters
  • To support with employee engagement and building effective communications with trade union and employee representatives
  • Taking the lead on the onboarding of our new joiners and actively drive and enhance the new joiners’ CGG experience
  • The cascading of the corporate HR initiatives
  • Responsible for completing compensation processes (salary review, bonus distribution, promotions)
  • Involvement in long term and short-term staff mobility cases
  • People development projects and initiatives
  • Supporting with Management of performance
  • Implementation of reorganisations and restructuring
  • Supporting the HR Business Partners on their global scope on specific people topics
  • Actively use data and analysis to support with reviewing processes and future planning
  • To promote equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that this commitment is reflected in all practices
  • And any other duties commensurate with the role 

This opportunity is aimed at a Human Resources Professional with solid experience across the full employee lifecycle. 

Qualifications

  • BSc minimum qualification, MSc in Business, HR, Law. Sociology Psychology will make a difference
  • CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD accreditation desirable

Skills and Experiences:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate and partner with individuals at all levels within the organisation
  • Self-motivated, passionate, service-oriented with superior organisational skills and great follow through on tasks.
  • Outstanding service & Customer focus, to identify and understand the needs of the stakeholders, and provide prompt advise and support
  • Computer literate: including highly proficient in MS Excel & Word
  • Being fluent in English. Speaking French is not required but a plus, which would facilitate the collaboration with the headquarter and the teams based in Massy when needed
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail
  • Being an enthusiastic team player!
