The employee will join CGG Satellite Mapping, part of CGG’s Energy Transition & Environment (ETE) business line based in Edenbridge, UK.

We harness the unique capabilities of Earth observation satellites, providing innovative mapping and monitoring solutions, and access to the best imagery and elevation data, across a variety of applications and markets including Energy, Mining, Engineering, Environment and Defense.

This team is expanding rapidly, with a diverse collection of roles opening up through 2022.

Job Description

Reporting to the Remote Sensing Manager, the employee will collaborate with colleagues and clients within Satellite Mapping and across ETE to derive information about the Earth’s surface through the advanced processing, analysis and interpretation of a diverse range of remote sensing data spanning optical, radar and elevation.

You will use your technical expertise and innovative spark to derive information from satellite imagery, with a particular focus on emerging needs in the domains of environmental science and mining.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy using their problem solving skills to meet new challenges, and will continuously seek to improve our technology and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Educated to a BSc, MSc or PhD level in Remote Sensing, Geography, Physics and Environmental Science.
  • Have between 0-5 years background or experience in remote sensing data and processing.
  • Expertise in mapping and monitoring Earth resources and environment through spectral and spatial analysis.
  • Experience and interest in programming advantageous.
