Job Description

CGG is the complete Smart Data Solutions partner, working with our clients to make their data available at the point of need, in the format required and to the best possible quality. Offering the complete range of services, technology and consultancy aimed at maximizing the value of new and legacy data.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Data Cataloguer will accurately catalogue and QC a specified number of data items within a predetermined timeframe to Company standards whilst adhering to set deadlines and client specifications. Acquiring knowledge of the different attributes recorded during the cataloguing process and understanding the significance of those attributes to the client will aid this process.

CGG will provide training to help further individual’s knowledge and understanding of data as well as provide manuals to assist with following processes. You will be expected to liaise with the stores team for the efficient movement of data where necessary.

Whilst in the role you will maintain a work environment that is tidy and free of hazards by adhering to HSE guidelines.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 A levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above.

The role requires an understanding of Microsoft software, image editing software and general computing to a standard required by the department in order to successfully and efficiently perform agreed tasks.
