We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Internal Communications Manager and take the lead in turning our strategy and key messages into clear and compelling communications that inspire, engage and resonate with our employees.  This is a unique opportunity to build upon CGG’s 90-year story and the work of its people, dive into our culture, and help shape the next chapter of who we aspire to be.  You will also support external communications campaigns and launches for the full spectrum of CGG products and services and provide the internal roll-out of these to employees.

Job overview

Reporting to the Group Business Marketing & Communication Director, you will work closely with the key stakeholders in Corporate, Business Lines and Functional groups to build internal communications content that is aligned with and meets their needs. You will be the “internal voice” of the company, responsible for building an internal communications vision that speaks to, and for, our global community, connecting them with our Purpose, Values, culture and to each other. You will use your journalistic skills to bring to life the stories of our employees and their achievements, as well as our business, to clearly put the latest technology and industry developments in context for our diverse internal audience.

Working with the communications team, you will be responsible for ensuring a balanced program of communications which represents the global CGG family, soliciting inputs from key stakeholders, developing the communications material, and ensuring their delivery in an effective and timely manner. 

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications Strategy & Plan: Develop the overall strategic approach to internal communications – channels of communication, technologies, prioritization of messages, content, etc.

Channels of Communication: Coordinate the development and use of our select channels of communication - currently including: InSite (intranet), the Communications Blog, News Flashes, Emails, Company Town Halls, Leadership Calls, Key Global Messages, etc.

Campaign Development: Drive the design, development, and implementation of internal communication campaigns with the support of the larger communications team to meet Corporate, Business Lines or Functions needs.

Communication Materials: Create the needed content together with the key stakeholders, and facilitate the creation of internal communications materials – articles, interviews, global emails, presentations, digital content, printed content etc.

Customer Service & Engagement: Build a strong internal network soliciting opinions from employees at all levels, sharing with and advising business leaders to drive better, more impactful content and communications.

General Marketing & Communications Support: If required, engage in other external marketing and communications projects – industry events, branding, advertising, social media, etc.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Experience

  • Ability to understand and translate business/corporate key messages and new company products and technologies into clear and compelling communications and campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills, copy writing, speech writing, presentation planning & delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills: connecting with others, informing, engaging, influencing, and aligning all relevant stake holders
  • Inquisitive and eager to learn about new aspects of the company, with a journalist approach
  • Track record of defining and managing project budgets & deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to new challenges or fast-paced changes on projects
  • Proven ability to take an inclusive approach working with a global organization
  • A trustworthy and dependable team player, able to operate independently and demonstrating high productivity
  • Platform and technology development (Intranet, etc.) – desirable
  • Marketing, Communications or Geoscience related background – desirable
