CGG Aviation (Canada) Limited, based in Ottawa, provides specialty services in remote sensing, worldwide, using specially modified survey aircraft.  We are currently looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, interested in travel, to join our operation.  We currently operate Cessna 208B, Grand Caravans and a Basler DC-3T.

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for carrying out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and modifications, both in Ottawa and in field locations, as established by the Director of Maintenance (DOM).  Relocation to Ottawa not required. 

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible to ensure that  all maintenance operations are done in accordance with the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM).

4 weeks on / 4 weeks off with slight variations

Aircraft Types

  • Cessna 208B, Caravan
  • Basler DC-3T (DC-3 with Basler Turbo Conversion)

Pre-requisites

  • Valid M1/M2 Licence
  • Have or have held ACA on a Basler Aircraft
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance for the systems we operate.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance 

  • All the duties and responsibilities assigned to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in the company Maintenance Policy Manual and Maintenance Control Manual with due regard to health and safety standards.
  • Verify that all components or parts to be installed on an aircraft are properly certified and in a serviceable condition.
  • Coordinate contract help to assist with maintenance and supervise unlicensed maintenance personnel, as required.
  • Maintain good standard of housekeeping.
  • Provide logistical support to product line field operations as necessary.

 Inventory Control

  • Maintain the level of aircraft spares issued by requesting replacements, from Store Coordinator/DOM when used.
  • Document and return to stores, unserviceable or repairable items.

Safety

  • Understand and accept that the responsibility for HSE resides with every individual. 

  • Report any incidents, near misses or hazards.

Qualifications

  • Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, suitably endorsed
  •  Experience on C208B and DC-3T aircrafts and PT6 Engines
  • General aviation experience, an asset
  • Ability to read/write English
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Radio license, an asset
