Database Software Developer

  • Full-time

Company Description

CGG is a fully integrated Geoscience company providing leading geological, geophysical and reservoir capabilities.

Job Description

Our Houston-based database team sets the global standards for data solutions. Seismic imaging requires sophisticated systems for managing high-performance computing resources and large volumes of data. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain existing and next-generation systems that make heavy use of Oracle object-relational database technology to support large distributed databases. Of particular emphasis is the scalability of the systems in light of anticipated changes in the volume of seismic data processed and the related computational demands of seismic imaging.

This role allows you to work as part of a geographically dispersed team to engineer and develop terabyte-scale systems. You will partner with our agile teams focused on HPC infrastructure and algorithm development to design and support the high-end applications of seismic imaging computing at CGG worldwide. This position demands excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and applicants must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. You should be a person with great technical passion and drive for results.

Must have current U.S. work authorization or qualify for sponsorship.
