The apprenticeship and additional training

The apprenticeship you’ll be studying towards is Business Administrator Level 3, this will give you excellent skills in the fundamental competencies needed in the workplace. This apprenticeship covers everything from using IT systems to communication skills and building positive working relationships.

As Business Improvement Assistant your development will be supplemented by CQI (Chartered Quality Institute) certified training, arming you with the recognised professional training and qualifications needed in the business improvement profession.

What does a Business Improvement Assistant do?

You will form part of a team whose remit is to make CGG the best company it can be for our customers, employees and stakeholders. An important part of the role includes working with a variety of people on initiatives designed to bring about changes to the way we work and behave. You’ll have the opportunity to help resolve issues, complaints and other challenges the business faces.

You will be given guidance, training, support, mentoring and the opportunity to develop in depth knowledge of our business needs, as well as gain experience using business management systems.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the analysis of audit reports, status reports, metrics and data to help understand the current state of the business and identify areas of concern. You will work with teams to understand cultural issues, pressures and identify areas for improvement directly with our production teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively assessing internal and external customer feedback
  • Working on the roll out of initiatives to push the company and its services forward
  • Working closely with many teams on the identification of solutions to issues and inefficiencies
  • Promotion and generation of new solutions, methods, ideas and tools
  • Reporting on and presenting results to staff and senior management

Qualifications

Person requirements and required Education and Experience:

Previous experience is not necessary for this role, we will provide in depth training alongside your apprenticeship. We are looking for an individual who has an interest in business management, and who thrives when working in a team.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, an ICT qualification would be beneficial but it is not essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
