Job Description
With CGG’s Intermediate Products team, you will be responsible for the U.S. Subsurface Imaging division’s data/records processing and management needs. In this role, you will engage in the maintenance and delivery of data, which may include: organization of files, archiving of seismic data, and management of Data Library repositories. To succeed in this role you must be detail-oriented, organized, committed to compliance, and able to multi-task under tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and organize intermediate data products, including tapes and spreadsheets
- Create and QC SEGY outputs for clients, and use standard delivery procedures for client data
- Assist in editing and running seismic data processing job flows for optimal quality and efficiency
- Represent CGG’s commitment to on-time quality
- Communicate with Operations, Systems, and Imaging personnel
- Maintain a status and completion schedule for all ongoing projects
- Organize Data Library Product archives
- Maintain priorities and production of Intermediate Products
- Participate in a group effort to achieve maximum production and meet turnaround requirements
- Perform quality control on field-merged data (Navigation & Seismic), by cross-checking data
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Physics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other related technical discipline
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Experience using database applications and electronic document and records management systems
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Collaborative team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Experience with a UNIX environment preferred
Must have current U.S. work authorization or qualify for sponsorship.
