A brand company in the retail sector is looking to hire  a  Assistant Store Manager for Luxury designer brands  in its retail outlet in Lagos.  

Job Description

• The Assistant store manager’s first responsibility is driving sales. He/she is responsible for making sure that store staff is selling according to company’s standards and giving excellent customer service. The Assistant store manager is supposed to be 99% of the time on the shop floor.


• He/she is reporting directly to the store manager, who reports directly to the retail manager and country manager. The essential responsibilities of the Assistant store Manager are the following;


• Make sure that all customers are being served at their utmost best.

• The Assistant store manager should make sure that all customers are being greeted and that staff is up to date with latest customer service standards for the store.

• Assistant store manager should be aware that he/she is an example in customer service and sales.

• Keep up to date with the daily store business and routines. Responsible for its day-to-day routine.

• The assistant store manager supervises effective store replenishment.

• Being able to have motivational meetings/talks on daily base with staff members.

• Keep up to date with daily sales figures, personal targets of all staff members.

• Make sure “end of day” routines are worked out with care.

• Make sure that staff is keeping store maintained at standards that have been set.

• Attend sales, customer service, or visual merchandises training and work meetings when organized by management and make sure regular updates are being held for all staff.

• Together with the store manager completely responsible for the look and the feel of the store.

• Together with the store manager responsible for the maintenance of the fixtures and all fixtures related product.

• The assistant store manager should be able to delegate staff members in such a way that all prior mentioned tasks can be adhered to.


Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible Retail experience. 

 Minimum 3 years management experience in the service or retail industry.

 Extensive experience and ability to lead the delivery of a high level of customer service in a Brand Retailer.

 Retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, sales and people leadership and management experience required
