As a project driven company, we are seeking a hard-working and skilled Junior CNC Machine Programmer to join our Machining Team

Job Description

  • creating CNC machine programs for turning and/or milling operations
  • setting up CNC machines for parts to be machined
  • operate CNC turning and/or milling machines
  • develop work pieces clamping mechanisms, select tools and machining parameters according to the program instruction
  • conduct inspect checks on parts and components that have been machined to ensure that high-quality standard is met
  • trouble shoot any manufacturing issues that may arise
  • monitor the programs and machining processes to ensure that the machines are effectively utilized
  • monitor the use of tools and inserts
  • continuous optimization of the existing and new manufacuring programs

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • CNC Programmer Certificate
  • Experience with CNC turning and milling machines
  • Knowledge and Experience on CAD software (Solidworks preferably)
  • Knowledge and Experience on CAM software (Mastercam and/or VISI software preferably)

 

Additional Information

Key skills required:

  • Knowledge of various material grades (such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, brass, special steel etc.)
  • Be able to work with small tolerances
  • Competency in Microsoft packages
  • Attention to detail orientated: quality and precision focused
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings
  • Willingness to learn
  • Be upto date with new CNC machining technics
