As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Engineering Department, you will supervise the transport and handling aspects of the High Intensity ECN3 (HI-ECN3) project. You will be in charge of the:
- 3D modelling in Catia the environment and the handling operations
- Definition and the design of handling tooling
- Follow up of the suppliers during the manufacturing phase
- Follow up of the project: planning, resources, implementation of the proposed tooling and methods with the handling teams
Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
- Proficient knowledge of a 3D drafting software (Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor etc.)
- Ability to prepare mechanical calculation notes to be submitted to safety actors
- Proficient in mechanical calculations with Ansys
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.
- Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
