Your responsibilities
The Web and Authoring section of the IT-PW group provides services around Web content and application publishing, including managing CERN's own general top level internet domain gTLD .CERN (https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/cern.html).
You are a Computing Engineer interested in contributing to the enhancement of CERN's Web Services infrastructure? By joining us, you will:
- Work closely with other members of the Web Services unit, as well as stakeholders across the organization, to identify and address business requirements in particular related to the top-level domain .CERN
- Identify areas for improvement and desirable new functionality for supporting and further integrating the handling of the top-level domain .CERN
- Implement automation tools to the existing infrastructure and management utilities of the CERN Web infrastructure services.
- Work on dedicated functionality such as general public search for .CERN sites and extensions to the hosting mechanisms used for .CERN sites.

Your profile
Skills and/or knowledge
- Experience working with Web Services and Containers technologies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Knowledge of OpenShift Operator Framework, Go, Python, and Helm charts is a plus
- Fluent in English
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.
- Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
