You will join the Talent Acquisition centre of expertise in CERN's Human Resources Department (HR-TA) which handles recruitment and sourcing for students, graduates, associates and staff at CERN. Through extensive candidate sourcing, communication, as well as outreach initiatives, our mission is to promote CERN as an employer of choice and to attract diverse talents from all our Member and Associate Members States.

Functions

As Recruitment & Sourcing Specialist, you will join a dynamic team with the objective to provide best-in-class service to meet the personnel needs of the Organization.

You will support the whole recruitment lifecycle, and notably:

  • Handle all aspects related to recruitment from job posting to contract administration:

-        Facilitate candidate sourcing using appropriate tools and online solutions to attract a diverse, quality talent pool.

-        Act as main point of contact for candidates in view of offering a positive experience;

-        Provide support to hiring managers and other recruiters;

-        Support high volumes of CV screening for both technical and non-technical roles;

-        Set-up evaluation tools such as video interviews and other tests;

-        Participate in the organisation, planning and running of interviews;

-        Prepare job offers and related paperwork;

  • Represent the Organization at job fairs and other outreach events to share job opportunities and promote CERN as an employer of choice;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system. Ensure requisitions are closed and candidates are dispositioned in a timely manner;
  • Liaise with other Centres of Expertise in the HR Department;
  • Administer and maintain statistics to support decision-making;
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of recruitment files and records;
  • Propose development and implementation of new processes, programmes and ways of working;
  • Contribute to HR-related projects, improving and streamlining administrative processes and procedures;
  • Back-up colleagues during their absences and perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in an in-house recruitment team;
  • Experience with candidate sourcing;
  • Experience in a large, multicultural, fast-paced environment, ideally in a STEM domain;
  • Experience of working with web-based recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems and tools including media such as video, social and professional networks;
  • Experience in HR data analytics including KPIs would be an asset.

Language skills:

  • Spoken and written English: ability to understand and speak in professional contexts, as well as prepare/draft and/or translate accurate texts.
  • The ability to understand and speak French in professional contexts would be an advantage or willingness to acquire it rapidly.
