Welcome to the Fellowship Programme
Within the Programme, we are looking for a Junior Learning Specialist to join the Learning and Development Group, part of the Human Resources Department at CERN, helping to build and promote a culture of learning and development. Your contributions will ensure that the learning programmes are aligned with the strategic goals and evolving needs of the organization.
MAIN DUTIES:
LANGUAGE PROGRAMME (50%)
Under the supervision of the programme coordinator, manage the daily activities of the language training programme;
Manage the evaluation process, including conducting online feedback surveys, analyzing data and producing reports/minutes.
JUNIOR SPECIALIST TASKS (50%)
Assist with the review & design of specific staff and development training programmes in other learning portfolios with a view to introducing e-learning content;
Assist with the evaluation process, including conducting online feedback surveys, analyzing data, producing reports/minutes;
CERN Onboarding programme (quarterly session): Co-deliver public presentations and coordinating key note speakers;
CERN Learning Management System: Test and assist in developing training procedures and processes related to the new system.
Qualifications
For this position within the Programme, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State (https://home.cern/about/member-states).
- You have a Bachelors or Masters level diploma in the field of Human Resources, Training and Development, Instructional Design or Organizational Development and a maximum limit of 4 years’ experience after completion of your degree.
- Some experience in digital communication and e-learning products.
- Knowledge of learning management systems.
- Ability to work with autonomy, flexibility and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong service orientation
- Very good knowledge of English or French; good knowledge of the other language. Writing skills in both official languages is necessary.
- Please note that CERN Staff members are not eligible to apply for a Fellowship.
Additional Information
CERN would very much like to benefit from your expertise, commitment and passion. In return, CERN will provide you with:
- An employment contract for between six months (minimum) up to a maximum of 36 months.
- A stipend ranging from 5,239 to 6,506 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
- Coverage by CERN’s comprehensive health scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
- Depending on your individual circumstances: an installation grant, family, child and infant allowances as well as travel expenses to and from Geneva.
- 2.5 days of paid leave per month.
