Job Description:

• Utilize scheduling system to identify parts and/or assemblies required to fill customer orders

• Maintain parts and supplies related to department area of responsibility

• Addresses questions from associates pertaining to production processes or equipment operation

• Monitor and expedite flow of materials within production area and work with production planning/scheduling on shortage issues

• Work with Production Control, Purchasing, and Project Management to expedite parts, sub-assemblies, and compound within the department

• Notify maintenance personnel of equipment malfunctions via order system

• Operate machines and/or department equipment for absent associates

• Maintain product workflow and production records to ensure adherence to daily production schedules

• Train associates in safety, quality, and delivery

• Inspect product to detect processing defects

• Recommend measures to improve production SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) methods, equipment
performance, quality of product, and safety of operations

• Analyze and resolve work problems with associates

• Suggest and initiate plans to motivate associates to achieve work goals

• Confer with supervisor/manager on corrective actions to resolve issues

• Set up machines and equipment as necessary

• Work with supervisor to make recommendations for employee performance improvements, rewards and disciple



Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, product print drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to speak effectively to groups, customers, and associates

• Ability to read blueprints

• Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages

• Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and occasionally climb or balance

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years welding experience

• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role

• Experience using Syteline to track orders and research product specifications


Education Required

High School Diploma or GED

1 year Certificate from
college or technical school
