Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Project Manager for Project Polaris - the first game in the new Witcher series saga. The person in this position will hold an important role in the production of our games and will help our talented developers deliver high-quality content. Daily Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate team activities including, but not limited to: Project planning meetings, status & project steering committee meetings, requirement activities, testing activities, training activities, and project closure activities.
  • Ensure continuous progress & improvement by providing thought leadership in team integration, providing innovation in applying standard methodologies in project management, business analysis, solution development, and organizational change.
  • Maintain document updates: scope, budget, dependencies, and assumptions, by gathering information from the assigned stakeholders
  • Support Production Leads to accomplish project goals by supporting clear task prioritization, organized work activities, efficient time management, and mindful resource usage.
  • Coordinating the process of effective project risk and issue management and reporting, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
  • Bringing value to the business organization by displaying courtesy and sensitivity, by managing difficult situations with integrity.
  • Maintained process of Project/Phase definition, planning, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, risk planning, issue tracking/resolution as well as progress measurement.
  • Lead the effort to understand business objectives, roles & responsibilities, requirements, testing, training, and presenting solutions to Production.
     

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, preferably in the video games industry or a related field.
  • Proven experience in planning and coordinating project activities such as planning meetings, status meetings, and project closure activities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably in an environment based on the Agile principles of Scrum, Kanban, or Lean. Knowledge of scalable methodologies like LeSS/Nexus/SAFe is nice to have.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team. 
  • Strong analytical skills to maintain and update project documents, including scope, budget, and dependencies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to support production leads in achieving project goals.
  • Deep knowledge of the Jira and Confluence tools.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • A genuine passion for games and a deep understanding of the gaming industry.
