Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Previz Artist to join our studio in Boston working on the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 project, codenamed Orion. In this position you will be responsible for creating complete movie sequences and shots that help support the director’s vision through the appropriate use of staging, blocking, cameras, composition, motion, and editing.

Together, with our storytellers, you will create scenes that are compelling and emotional or spectacular and bursting with action. We have them all! 

Daily responsibilities:

  • Creating complete movie sequences with excellent pacing, acting, cinematography, editing, and timing.
  • Communicating with Designers and Leads to improve readability of visual storytelling and to establish perfect continuity of the story with gameplay.
  • Following and maintaining pipelines and technical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional understanding of film language and how to use it to create coherent and memorable scenes and sequences that convey desired emotions.
  • 5 years of experience as a Previz Artist working in the game or film industries.
  • Proficiency in camera animation and working experience with motion capture animation.
  • Excellent understanding of acting including posing and timing.
  • Strong knowledge of cinematography, editing, rules of staging and frame composition.
  • The ability to understand game design and to mimic its visualization.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to company proprietary software.
  • Being a self-motivated team player.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of the following tools: MotionBuilder, Maya, Unreal engine.
  • Experience directing actors and/or acting.
  • Experience with keyframe animation.
  • Experience with working with a screenplay.
  • Genuine interest in the Cyberpunk genre.

Additional Information

This job requires working in Boston, US.
Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity.
