CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Multiplayer Designer to support The Molasses Flood development studio in their own ambitious project which is based on one of CD PROJEKT’s IPs. The person in this role will create engaging multiplayer gameplay features, game modes and scenarios, driving them all from concept to implementation. This designer will report to the Lead Multiplayer Designer and work with the Design Director, other designers and across disciplines to build creative, balanced and fun multiplayer experiences. 

Daily Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Lead Multiplayer Designer, design and implement gameplay modes from concept to finish.
• Design, implement, tune, and balance gameplay features.
• Implement a wide range of scenarios that will keep players coming back again and again.
• Work with engineering to implement, iterate and optimize design choices.
• Keep clear and concise design documentation.

• Demonstrated understanding of multiplayer design principals and the processes used to achieve them.
• Excellent knowledge of how to bring balance and fun to a multiplayer game experience.
• A strong technical background in scripting, visual or otherwise.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to communicate fluently with engineering, art and production.
• Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude.

Nice to Haves

• Broad interest in all aspects of game design, from second-to-second combat to metagame and economy.
• Previous experience in Multiplayer Design in the game industry.
• Experience or interest in procedurally-generated levels.
• Strong UE4 experience.
• Design experience with systems heavy action games.
• Ability to read and understand C++.
