Job Description

Join a dynamic Colorado team of Civil Engineers in need of a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to relocate to Fort Collins, CO. This role will be multi focused in land development, municipal projects and permitting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage oil and gas permitting, land development, and municipal projects from initiation to completion.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, environmental specialists, and other engineers.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Permitting and Compliance:
    • Prepare and submit oil and gas permits and related documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Design and Development:
    • Oversee the design of land development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
    • Prepare site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts using Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Municipal Projects:
    • Engage with local municipalities to understand project requirements and expectations.
    • Develop engineering solutions for municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water supply, and wastewater systems.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
    • Participate in project meetings, provide technical expertise, and contribute to project decision-making.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
    • Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Registered PE license in Colorado or 8 - 10 years experience in municipal land development projects
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, MS Project, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro
