Job Description

We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of selling dedicated contract carriage or private fleet in the transportation space. We are seeking a Business Development Director to craft and implement strategic plans for acquiring new customers, driving revenue growth, and enhancing profitability. The Business Development Director will create and execute action plans to successfully close new deals, with a focus on our dedicated service offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and planning.
  • Collaborate with the solution design team, relationship managers, and service offering leaders to develop tailored client solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations for new business opportunities.
  • Follow up on lead generation efforts through proactive sales calls.
  • Validate deals and maintain ongoing interactions with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage accounts efficiently and utilize CRM tools effectively for timely account management.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of sales experience, dedicated contract carriage or private fleet in the transportation space.
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills.
  • Proficient in financial management and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% of the time.
