Cavista Technologies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable, and secure software solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our financial products through comprehensive testing, defect management, and continuous quality improvement. Working closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders, you will help drive quality standards and improve customer experience
What will you do…
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
- Lead the planning, design, execution, and reporting of manual testing activities across fintech products and services.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, user acceptance, and exploratory testing.
- Validate payment workflows, transaction processing, settlements, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data protection requirements applicable to financial services.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Compliance teams to ensure product quality and business alignment.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using defect management tools.
- Conduct API testing and validate integrations between internal and third-party financial systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide risk assessments and quality recommendations before product releases.
Qualifications
What you bring...
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience building and delivering complex native Android applications in production environments.
- Understanding of Agile QA practices.
- Strong attention to detail and defect-analysis skills.
- Risk-based testing mindset.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Strong manual and automated testing skills (e.g. Selenium, Postman, Cypress)
REGULATORY CONSIDERATIONS
- Implements Quality Assurance controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
- Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
