Job Description

What you will do… 

  • Install, configure and security harden Oracle Linux and equivalent
  • Setup database connectivity to MySQL Server
  • Install and setup (ELK) Clusters
  • Install and configure Redis and RedisCluster
  • Install and configure Nginx.
  • Install and configure Consul
  • Deploy and configure software on application servers.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, resolve, and automate day to day Linux incidents
  • Experience with data center operations and OS build processes and hardening.
  • Deploy and configure software on application servers.
  • Manage hypervisors (vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • Demonstrated ability to configure, deploy and manage a major system area such as batch system, network, data storage, backup system, database system, or distributed computing.
  • Working knowledge of MySQL, ELK, Redis, Nginx and Consul.

Qualifications

What you will bring...

  • 7+ years of experience working as a Linux Engineer
  • Experience managing Linux resources
  • Versed at setting up and using Containerization and Orchestration
  • Experience using and configuring Salt for configuration management
  • Experience with version control using Git
  • Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, CIFS, and multi-platform system security
  • (Original) Comfortable with proxying, load balancing, sticky sessions
  • (Updated) Comfortable with providing proxying and load balancing using HAProxy, Nginx, Keepalived
  • Zabbix experience is a plus.
  • MySQL and MongoDB support experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience with a multitude of relevant certifications  
  • Experience with a variety of OS tools and utilities for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure and networks.  
  • <20% local travel may be required   
  • Available in a 24x7 on-call rotation
