A Mobile Engineering Manager to lead, mentor and manage Android and IOS teams comprised of engineers, team leads and product coordinators. Strategic in developing initiatives and setting time tables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services.
Lead a senior team of Android and iOS engineers to build and shape the best experience for Axxess apps.
Recruit and build a world-class Mobile Frameworks team
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship and supporting growth and improvement within the team.
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
Package and support deployment of releases.
Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
10+ years of professional experience building native Android and(or) iOS applications
5+ years of management experience
Significant experience building applications in Swift and(or) Kotlin
Knowledge of Swift and(or) Kotlin concepts (structs or data classes, optionals, generics, concurrency etc.)
Familiar with architecture patterns such as MVVM/VIPER/MVI/RIBs etc. and their uses
Experience leading a team to build and ship large-scale mobile apps
Someone who is not afraid to make critical decisions and has a bias towards action
Ability to inspire and motivate the team to go above and beyond
Experience building common foundational Android and(or) iOS frameworks and components
Experience with building public APIs and mobile SDKs at scale
Deep understanding of native Android and(or) iOS fundamental frameworks like Core Data, URL Session on iOS and(or) Java/Kotlin Framework (e.g., Content Provider, View Toolkit, Activity), Runtime on Android
Experience communicating and implementing effective, solutions-oriented improvements
