CARE Indonesia is currently recruiting a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Manager-Earthquake Response

This position is responsible for ensuring the effective design and implementation of the Emergency Response MEAL Framework/Strategy that is in line with CARE’s policies and practices. A key component will be the development and roll out of MEAL plan and activities, setting up appropriate monitoring, evaluation and community accountability requirements for the emergency projects and overall program, and assumes overall responsibility for MEAL related data collection, analysis and reporting (internal and external). The MEAL Manager ensures that objective evaluations and learning/reflection events are managed to assess the CARE programme and project relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of results. He/she will also be responsible for the rolling out and managing the Response Accountability Mechanism. The MEAL Manager liaises closely with CI and other CMPs to ensure compliance with MEAL requirements.

Requirements:
• Good knowledge and strong demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, including participatory approaches
• At least five years’ experience of work in humanitarian and/or development context programs
• Strong commitment to the aims and objectives of CARE, including strong commitment to gender equality and social justice
• Experience in developing capacities of staff and partners to undertake monitoring, evaluation and learning activities – including meet both reporting and learning needs.
• Ability and willingness to undertake regular travel to the crisis affected area.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and fluency in English and Bahasa.
