Job Description

Position:

As a Financial Manager at c2 Labs, Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing efficient processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. All candidates must be local to the Charleston, SC area, and have reliable transportation with a valid DL.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens and are able to pass a criminal background and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the accrual process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee payroll processes for both W2 and 1099 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the leadership team, assisting with strategic decision-making and financial planning.

Qualifications

  • Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 7 years) in financial management, preferably in a technology-focused organization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including accrual accounting.
  • Experience managing payroll processes for both W2 and 1099 employees.
  • Strong tax knowledge and experience, including tax filings and compliance.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and processes to streamline financial operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Must be comfortable doing accruals.
  • Experience with small business is a plus
