Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with Java.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
• Develop reusable automation components and utilities to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless automated execution.
• Perform API testing and validation using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Review application requirements and technical specifications to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to drive issue resolution.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and quality processes.
• Monitor automation execution, generate test reports, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies, testing trends, and industry best practices.

Qualifications We Seek In You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java programming.
• Extensive experience in test automation using Playwright with Java.
• Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test lifecycle, and quality assurance principles.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing and test reporting tools.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating automation suites with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience leading automation initiatives or mentoring QA teams.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern quality engineering practices.
