Job Description

What You’ll Do 

The Associate Solutions Architect is a hybrid role with a focus on both technical leadership and services sales. The Associate Solutions Architect provides pre-sales technical support and expertise in identifying client requirements, while analyzing the client’s current environment and system capabilities, to ensure the technical solutions proposed to meet the client’s objectives.  In addition to being viewed as a trusted advisor to the client, the Associate Solutions Architect also has responsibility for quality assurance oversight of solution delivery and implementation. 

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will: 

  • Bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions 

  • Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered 

  • Seeks counsel from other Solutions Architects, leaders, Services, Consulting to ensure the proper solutions are designed correctly. 

  • Complete required pre-sales documentation (sizing, configurations, pricing, services, presentations, proposals, justifications, etc.) quickly and accurately 

  • Assist with the architecture and strategy process, gathering requirements, phases, and collaborating with experts during the project execution. 

  • Provide technical oversite and subject matter expertise during the delivery phase 

  • Partner with the Sales team and Practice leadership to drive services sales within the practices and build a pipeline 

  • Work with the Practice leadership to further develop the workgroup resources and team development 

  • Drive process improvement, delivery efficiency, and project profitability

  • You are eager to master the art of pre-sales from senior teammates to provide value to our clients. 

  • You have a passion for technology and keep informed of market trends, solution insights, and new vendors and methods. 

  • You’re willing to travel. 

Qualifications

The Tech Stuff 

Burwood prides itself in the depth of knowledge within the Associate Solutions Architect role.  Candidates for the role must have experience and be able to speak to multiple technologies.  Practical hands-on deployment experience in at least one focus area is a must. 

Hybrid Cloud Focus 

  • Hands-on experience with Data Center technologies (Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Data Protection, etc.) 

  • Experience or interest in learning GCP, Azure, or AWS 

Network Focus 

  • Hands-on experience in the design of enterprise WAN, campus LAN, data center networks, and wireless networks 

  • Experience with building “next-generation” networks that utilize automation techniques and software-defined technologies 

Security Focus 

  • Hands-on experience in the design of enterprise network security architectures including network focused prevention and protection, endpoint security and posture, securing data from the endpoint to the edge of the network (traditional, hybrid, and public cloud)

Compensation packages at Burwood Group are based on various factors unique to each candidate including work location, skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. ​

The estimated salary range for this role is ($100,000-$135,000). This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. Sales roles have an additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
