Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and assist in accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Functions
- Process vendor invoices, verify documentation, obtain approvals, and prepare payment runs for timely disbursements.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Ensure proper classification of expenses into respective general ledger categories.
- Perform regular bank, corporate credit card, and petty cash reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support budget development, monitor variances, and provide insights for financial planning.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Contribute to process automation and efficiency improvements in accounting operations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
- Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
- Collaborate with departments such as procurement, sales, and HR for smooth financial operations.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably in Engineering or Real Estate.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally or ERP systems.
