Job Description

Job Purpose:

To manage manages construction projects by planning, scheduling, detailing, and enforcing quality control. Responsible for ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations while maintaining project integrity and quality.

1. Quality Control

  • Enforces quality control standards, ensuring all work complies with project specifications and industry standards
  • Conduct regular inspections thorough inspection of materials to be used in the works to identify and address deviations from project requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections and observations.
  • Carry out a thorough study of the drawings and specifications and highlight errors and discrepancies in the drawings and specifications to the Project Manager

2. Project Planning, Scheduling & Monitoring:

  • Develop Gantt charts for the projects and ensure the project plan is adhered
  • Identify critical paths in the project schedule and work with project teams to prioritize tasks and resources accordingly.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines.

3. Documentation and Reporting & ERP

  • Prepare detailed reports on construction progress, quality issues, and compliance findings.
  • Ensure that Daily Progress Reports, Weekly Site Progress Reports & Monthly Site Progress Reports are updated in the ERP
  • Document all changes, variations, and discrepancies in project specifications.
  •  Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives

 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree/ Higher Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or a similar quality control role in a busy environment
  • Knowledge of operating project management tools, softwares & ERP modules
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management and documentation software/tools.
