Job Description
The individual is required to be involved in the operations conducted in concerns to BIH. Assistant Procurement Officer will be responsible & accountable for medical inventory management & therefore will be expected to supervise and manage the inventory flow and its lifetime. The job duties include the following but are not limited to:
- Build healthy relations with suppliers of the medical inventory
- Responsible of managing procurement activities for Clinical supplies categories include Medical and Surgical consumables.
- Ensure prompt ordering & stocking of this inventory
- Maintain & store monthly reports of medical inventory and report to immediate supervisor.
- Supervise effective & efficient distribution of the inventory to the respective staff and/ or departments.
- Ensure compliance in BIH procurement processes with corresponding policies and regulations.
- Maintain high ethical standards and commitment to BIH’s core values in each aspect of work.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of official procurement data and records.
- Exhibit detail orientation in maintain records and to report, maintain and keep safe procured properties.
- Responsible to develop and implement integrated methods and system for improving operational efficiency and controlling inventories.
- Liable to ensure compliance of quality management system of materials management division, local and international quality standards.
- Accountable to develop and review department goals and objectives on a regular basis against said targets and take actions for improvement.
- Additionally, partake, in other non-medical procurement tasks and ensure managing it efficiently.
- Implementing proper knowledge of transport of medical inventory in a safe, secure and efficient manner.
- Perform any other task assigned by immediate supervisor & senior management.
Qualifications
Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain.
Past Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant experience of Purchasing and Contract Management.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including phone communication
- Sophisticated negotiation skills. Strong knowledge of related industry operating costs, procurement methods, and pricing practices.
- Ability to seek significant challenges outside of current job scope and work on new projects or assignments that add value without compromising current accountabilities.
- Able to guides staff to achieve tasks, goals, processes and performance standards.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu
