Job Description

Brownstein Group is looking for a Senior Art Director! The Senior Art Director maintains the agency’s creative standards in all work developed and executed by the Creative Department. Produces bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all media for agency clients. Creates and fosters long-term relationships between agency clients and their customers. Works with teams to develop concepts for interactive campaigns and other communications. Responsible for design and visual style of websites, banner ads, e-mail and other interactive media.

You’ll be leading the charge with other creative types and be responsible for taking a project from concept through to roll out. You will work with strategy, account, and PM to create and manage your projects and will present regularly with clients. Projects can run on a normal schedule but sometimes require a quick turn-around. You should be agile and flexible. We’re looking for those prepared for the challenge and ready to dedicate themselves to reaching a high-water mark in their craft.


  • In charge of influencing the end-user by delivering a clear message, as well as seeking out new trends and incorporating them into campaigns effectively.
  • Managing designers and copywriters, working as a team players, multi-tasker, providing original approaches and innovative ideas.
  • Develop creative strategies that are forward-thinking and in-line with current media trends
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise strategies to achieve them
  • Offer creative ideas and encourage others to share theirs
  • Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly
  • Develop strong, strategic interactive concepts
  • Direct/coordinate selection and use of photographers and illustrators
  • Oversee the work of graphic designers and production artists as needed
  • Collaborate with Account Execs and Copy colleagues to ensure creation of consistent strategies;  devise new ways to communicate with consumers
  • Coordinating with Production, Creative and Development to ensure that concepts can be produced on time/on budget, at the level of quality promised to the client


  • 3-5 years’ experience in DRTV is REQUIRED
  • 5 years’ experience as Art Director in creative advertisement, Broadcast/TV/Video experience a must
  • Hands-on shoot experience
  • Experience with the healthcare industry
  • Keen eye for detail, and a drive to deliver the sharpest, most dazzling copy
  • Adobe Creative Suite: specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Ability to plan and strategize high-profile projects
  • Familiarity with creative processes and techniques –including digital media
  • Effective team management capabilities
  • Attention to detail and timescales
  • Familiarity with creative processes and techniques –including digital media
  • Confidence in building a rapport with clients and nurturing good working relationships
  • Portfolio Required
