Senior Sales Executive – B2B Events

  • Full-time
  • Compensation: GBP 28000 - GBP 55000 - yearly

Company Description

Broadway Events is an award-winning independent events organiser, delivering market-leading exhibitions and conferences across the education and healthcare sectors. We create events where communities connect, innovate and thrive, bringing together thousands of professionals each year to learn, network and do business.

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Senior Sales Executive who can make a strong contribution to revenue growth across our events. You'll bring a proven track record in B2B sales, confidence in managing client relationships and the drive to win new business.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of revenue generation across allocated events, developing new business, growing existing accounts and securing repeat bookings. You'll identify opportunities to increase client spend through exhibition stands and sponsorship, while managing your pipeline and forecasts.

This is a high-activity, phone-based role, with around 80% of your time spent engaging with clients. You'll be expected to complete at least 70 minutes of outbound client call time each day. You'll also attend relevant industry and competitor events and work onsite at our shows. This is a senior sales role, not a people-management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the revenue success of events.
  • Generate new business and develop a strong portfolio of exhibitor and sponsor relationships.
  • Grow existing accounts, drive repeat bookings and achieve onsite rebooking targets.
  • Identify upselling, cross-selling and higher-value sponsorship opportunities.
  • Manage client accounts from enquiry and negotiation through to delivery and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager on event planning and forward forecasting.
  • Consistently deliver against agreed KPIs, call times and activity levels.
  • Lead by example, sharing experience and supporting colleagues across the sales team.
  • Represent Broadway Events at industry events and support the smooth running of our shows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least two years' B2B sales experience; events, exhibitions or media sales would be an advantage.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, influencing and closing skills.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident developing client relationships.
  • Highly organised, resilient and comfortable managing your own workload and pipeline.
  • Confident communicating by phone and face-to-face with people at all levels.
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership and leads by example.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate forecasts.

What We Offer:

  • £28,000 basic salary, depending on experience, with £55,000 OTE plus uncapped commission over OTE
  • Sales Progression Scheme and personalised training and development.
  • Recognition Scheme and birthday day off.
  • Annual leave that increases with length of service.
  • Free onsite parking, fresh fruit, team lunches and regular social events.
  • A friendly, collaborative team and the opportunity to contribute to an award-winning, growing business.

Hours & Location:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Ringwood, Hampshire - office based, with travel to events and relevant industry events across the UK.
