Job Description
This is a Part-Time (less than 24 hrs per week) :
Under the supervision of the Utility Manager, incumbent is responsible for following established procedures to ensure the sanitary maintenance of the dishroom and the entire food service area.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for set-up, operation, and cleaning of the dish machine
Cleans and sanitizes dishware and equipment as directed
Sweeps and mops; removes trash from Food Service areas
Responsible for bussing tables and for restocking paper and cleaning supplies
Responsible for reporting to work in a clean and complete uniform
Ensures that the cleaning and sanitizing of all items and equipment is done in a careful, efficient, and effective manner by following procedures and instructions as appropriate and responsible manner
Ensures that the dining experience is pleasant and enjoyable
Ensures that we meet county and state regulations as reflected in inspections
Performs all the basic functions of a dietary aide when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
General knowledge of cleaning methods and techniques, sanitizing agents, and equipment
General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices
Ability to operate the dish machine and other equipment as directed
General knowledge of proper dining room service and sanitation of the kitchen
Possess the ability to follow instructions, works well with others and maintains a good rapport with residents
Possess the ability to cope with the needs of older persons, physical handicaps and/or varying degrees of disorientation
Ability to train and in-service properly the do/don’ts of utility techniques and hazardous chemicals
Ability to work unsupervised
- General knowledge of OSHA regulations
